Advancing the Right to Health:
Challenges, Models, Means and Mechanisms

Doctors for Global Health is pleased to invite you to the 13th Annual DGH General Assembly (GA), which will be the second held in the mid-western US. This participatory event is an opportunity to come together and meet others working to advance health and human rights. It's a time to learn, support one another, have fun and re-energize yourself to continue working for social justice in your own community and around the world.

Come early on Friday the 18th to visit some inspiring local projects (Proteus, the Iowa Immigrant Rights Clinic: The Free Clinic, one of the oldest in the country, serving the new Iowa communities without access to Health Care; and Scattergood School Organic Farm, part of the local food movement). Want to know more about the DGH volunteer experience? Participate in a workshop Sunday from 2-3pm. One of our keynote speakers will be Arjun Makhijani, PhD, author of Carbon-Free and Nuclear-Free: A Roadmap for U.S. Energy Policy.
