Verónica Needs Our Help

Dear DGH Friends,

Verónica Raquel Ramirez is a 24-year-old woman with a permanent smile. She would never ask us herself, but she needs our support to live her life to the fullest.

Verónica suffers from epilepsy, suffering from up to 10 seizures each day and more at night. Seizures are life-threatening but can be manageable.

Verónica is in urgent need of life-saving medication, which is not available where she lives, 2 hours away from the clinic. 

With funding, she will be able to receive medications that will diminish her persistent seizures and improve her quality of life. 

Doctors for Global Health has started an Emergency Medical Assistance Fund for the care of high-risk patients like Verónica. As part of our long-standing commitment to community accompaniment, it is critical that we act now.
