2015 General Assembly in Seattle - Transportation Details

Below are transportation options to the 2015 DGH General Assembly in Seattle, Aug 14-16:

By air:

  • Please fly into the Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) International Airport

  • We recommend taking public transportation to the conference, as all events will be within walking distance of the conference, and parking is not included in your registration

  • We also recommend using local taxi-like services, Uber and Lyft, to get around town, although these are not allowed into the airport. A taxi from the airport should cost ~ $40

Public transportation from Sea-Tac airport:

  • Follow signs for Light Rail

  • Use vending machines to purchase a one-way or round-trip light rail ticket to Pioneer Square ($2.50 - $5.00, credit cards are accepted)

  • Hold on to your ticket, especially if it’s a round-trip ticket (a transportation official may or may not board your train and ask to see your ticket)

  • Board Light Rail. A train leaves ~ every 15 min. It will be a ~33 min ride to Pioneer Square

  • Exit Light Rail at Pioneer Square and make your way to street level
